Pam Beitlich, who began her healthcare career at Sarasota Memorial Hospital as a cardiac RN, will soon finish her more than 40-year tenure at the hospital as the Executive Director of Women and Children’s Services where she is responsible for a 26-bed Labor and Delivery /OB- ECC Unit, 30-bed Mother-Baby Unit, a 36-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 28-bed Pediatric/ Women’s Unit, and a robust community education and outreach program.

She received the “Lifetime of Leadership” award from the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce in 2020 for her work maintaining the highest level of quality patient care for the Sarasota community.

“The complex issues facing healthcare in the future cannot be overstated, and I am confident I have the knowledge base to bring expertise to the table,” Beitlich said. “I can’t thank the people of this community enough for rallying behind my campaign to ensure every Sarasota County resident continues to receive the very best healthcare that they have come to expect from SMH.”

Beitlich holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice/ Healthcare Systems Leadership.

“Although I know and understand the day-to-day operations of SMH, I want to make a bigger difference being involved at the strategic level,” said Beitlich, whose three children were born at the hospital.
